Conceptualised as a modern bathhouse, NOWHERE seeks to present the simple, time-tested ritual of bathing for the modern audience.

Here, bathing isn’t just about getting clean—it’s about taking a moment to slow down and savor the simple pleasures. Whether it’s feeling the warmth of steam enveloping you or the cool touch of water against your skin, it is a place to savour the rare moments where we have nowhere to be, other than now here.

Landing on the name NOWHERE, which also reads as now here, we wanted the tone of the brand to subtly reflect that state of slowing down and being present in the now. 

SUD Regular was selected for its unique set width, which places equal emphasis to the words “now” and “here”, and serves as a quiet reminder on the importance of being present.

As an accessible and all-gender space, the illustrative style adopted a figuratively amorphous look—avoiding leanings to any particular body type. This is further stylistically developed through the use of inky and blotchy strokes that vary from thick to thin, converging and separating the way water would.

The illustrations and visuals are also paired with a complementary secondary typeface, which similarly mimics that same behaviour of converging and separating. In this instance, irregular kerning is embraced to lend to a more naturistic and organic visual tone.
